Hunter Medical Research Institute

Established in 1998, Hunter Medical Research Institute (HMRI) is a unique partnership between the University of Newcastle, Hunter & New England Health and the community. HMRI is effectively a ‘hub’ for the region’s 900 plus medical researchers and strives to ensure the Hunter remains at the forefront of medical research. HMRI researchers are at the cutting edge of medical technology research with an international reputation for significant discoveries in healthcare delivery.
