AAMRI report 2018 – Amazing outcomes from the Operational Infrastructure Support Program

Each year the Victorian Government provides over $26 million to 10 independent medical research institutes through the Operational Infrastructure Support (OIS) Program. The OIS Program helps fund services and infrastructure that support research activities but are not covered by research grants such as management and administration, facilities, IT services, and research commercialisation and translation costs including protection of intellectual property.

AAMRI has prepared a report to the Victorian Government Department of Health and Human Services to highlight the outstanding medical research and commercialisation achievements which are made possible by this support. In addition to the amazing discoveries made by Victorian MRIs this support enabled:

  • Success in attracting $226 million in competitive grant income
  • Entering into over 1,300 partnreship agreements
