The workshops: launching the networks

AAMRI is forming two new networks – 1) Research Governance, and 2) Research Strategy – to be launched at one event on 1st June 2018. There will be a full day workshop for each new network, run in parallel, at the same venue. The program will focus on facilitated discussions guided by short presentations and will provide opportunities to meet and network with fellow MRI staff across both networks.

The program will feature two guest speakers:

  • Transitioning to the new NHMRC grant program and peer review process (NHMRC)
  • Cyber security and research data: what do MRIs need to know about the new legislation? (Minter Ellison Law)

Joining the networks

Both the AAMRI research governance and research strategy networks will connect staff at medical research institutes (MRI) who work in research governance (including for human research), policy, management and strategy. Through these networks, we aim to connect a broad range of staff who face common issues in these areas and bring everyone together for discussion and sharing of ideas.

Communication across the networks is facilitated by AAMRI through membership of a private email group.

If you are a staff member at an AAMRI member institute and would like to join one or both networks, please complete your details here.

We would like to thank and acknowledge The George Institute for Global Health for hosting the 2018 launch event.
