The 2019 AAMRI Annual Convention will be held on 27-28 November at Hotel Hyatt Canberra, with the Annual Dinner held in the Great Hall at Parliament House.

The AAMRI Annual Convention is a free, member only event consisting of strategy meetings, networking opportunities, AAMRI’s Annual Dinner at Parliament House and AAMRI’s AGM.

Convention program

This year we will be analysing the big issues facing the sector, and dedicating more time to member discussion and the development of AAMRI strategy and policies. We will be joined by the Chief Executive of the NHMRC, Professor Anne Kelso AO, as well as Professor Sir John Savill (Executive Director of the Melbourne Academic Centre for Health, and former Chief Executive of the UK Medical Research Council).

The guest speaker for the AAMRI Dinner will be the Minister for Health, the Hon Greg Hunt MP, and the guest speaker for the AAMRI President’s Breakfast will be the Shadow Minister for Health, the Hon Chris Bowen MP.
