Institute for Health Transformation
Health shouldn’t be hard. That’s why equity is at the heart of everything we do at Deakin University’s Institute for Health Transformation (IHT). The Institute is a network of more than 300 multidisciplinary researchers who work to transform how we design and deliver prevention and care.
Our research addresses some of the most compelling and complex health challenges of the 21st century through translational research excellence in: prevention and population health, health systems and services, health economics and financing, and data intelligence and digital health.
Our collaborative model across Deakin’s Schools of Medicine, Health and Social Development, Nursing and Midwifery, and Psychology enables multidisciplinary research. Our partnerships with health services, government, community and industry allow us to translate that research into real impact and deliver solutions that will strengthen our health systems and contribute to the health and wellbeing of all, now and in the future.
